Power, Gas and Petrochemicals Noise Article by Blue Tree Acoustics

The construction of new power, petrochemical or gas plants can lead to a significant increase in noise in the vicinity. Often, residential locations are not located in the immediate area, however, even at distance the levels of noise experienced may impact.

Controlling noise from these sites is complex due to the sheer size of the site and the number of individual noise sources. Usually calculations following ISO 9613 propagation methods are carried out with results being calculated for residential properties in the area.

Blue Tree Acoustics can assist in the acoustic design of gas plant and gas compressors, rig noise, gas storage facilities or power stations.
